Okay, this is too cool. I have to post about it. I just saw the trailer for the game RUSE from Ubisoft (a developer that I LOVE, especially after playing Prince of Persia today). It's a real time strategy game, so it's part of a genre that I'm particularly fond of. It's just like any other war game simulator, but with a twist that puts a whole new level of thinking into the game. At the beginning of the game you're dealt a hand of cards. Each one of these cards contains a different kind of deception that you can use in your strategy, whether it's fake tanks or a way to fool your opponent into thinking it will be a land battle but instead turning it around into an aerial assault. Sound interesting? Check out this trailer:
I wish so badly that the game could be played on a tabletop, like the Microsoft surface. It would add a personal touch that would be incredible. It would truly seem like you were a general in a war room playing war games. Or it would be the next generation of chess. Anyway, they're planning on releasing the game on the PC, the PS3, and the XBox 360. I can't wait.
